Public Safety Officer (Overnight Shift)

Location: Power & Light District – Kansas City, MO

Pay: $18 – $19 per hour

Schedule:

Overnight shifts only (part-time positions available)

About the Role

We are seeking dependable and professional Public Safety Officers to join our overnight team in the Kansas City Power & Light District. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of property and patrons
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies in a professional manner
• Observe, report, and document any unusual activities or safety hazards
• Assist local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and tenants

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a background check (no felonies or serious misdemeanors)
• Prefer candidates with a current Kansas City Private Security License (or ability to obtain one)
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required

Pay & Benefits

• $18 – $19 per hour, based on experience and licensing
• Overnight shift differential
