Data Scientist III
Location Mountain View, CA
Base Pay Range $72.00/hr – $82.87/hr
Responsibilities
Improve operations that involve information technology within a company; primarily designing and building data pipelines and dashboards.
Build data pipelines, perform ETLs, clean data, and organize information for extraction of critical insights. Most work is in SQL and Tableau; dashboards help visualize and democratize insights to key stakeholders.
Consult management to enhance company effectiveness.
Analyze hardware, software, and IT services; determine areas for improvement; conduct research on latest trends and solutions.
Recommend changes to IT policies, structure, and operations.
Apply problem‑solving techniques to detect and resolve issues.
Monitor implemented solutions, analyze efficiency, and enact continuous improvements.
Create project plans for IT development and testing.
Translate requirements into new IT project specifications.
Identify, communicate, and manage risks associated with projects.
Identify business or customer requirements and IT alternatives.
Requirements
Knowledge of SQL to analyze data from databases.
Timely resolution of broken pipelines.
Self‑starter capable of identifying and defining data sources; independently complete tasks efficiently.
Strong mathematical skills for cost‑benefit analyses.
Presentation and report‑making skills to present findings to upper management.
