Hepatologist – NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island NYU Langone Health

is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible hepatologist to join our team in the Long Island campus. The successful candidate will devote time to hepatology, with clinical responsibilities that include managing the inpatient hepatology service and performing basic endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, manage, and treat patients with liver diseases, including chronic hepatitis B, primary biliary cholangitis, inflammatory bowel disease, oncology‑related liver disease, geriatric hepatology, and alcoholic liver disease.

Develop a focused academic area of expertise and contribute to the growth of a clinical trials program.

Teach medical students, residents, and gastroenterology fellows.

Participate in basic, clinical, and outcomes research.

Qualifications

Board certification or eligibility in Hepatology (or equivalent).

Clinical experience managing inpatient hepatology cases and performing basic endoscopic procedures.

Strong academic record and evidence of teaching experience.

Demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse, disadvantaged community.

Compensation and Benefits Salary: $325,000 – $375,000 (annual, full‑time) with opportunity for additional incentive compensation.

Benefits include competitive salary, paid CME, malpractice insurance, and vacation. Actual salary may vary based on experience, training, and hospital/community needs.
