The Role
We’re hiring a
Chief Operating Officer
to help scale Passive from a high‑performing startup into an enduring, category‑defining company. This pivotal executive role is responsible for translating strategy into execution, building the operational engine of the business, and partnering with the CEO and CTO to accelerate product expansion, user growth, and revenue.
The COO will be the connective tissue across Product, Growth, Partnerships, Operations, and GTM — ensuring the company moves with alignment, velocity, and precision. It is an opportunity to join early, steer the company through its next phase, and build a generational product in the Future of Work.
What You’ll Lead Operational Excellence & Scale
Build and optimize operational systems across product, engineering, marketing, and customer experience.
Drive cross‑functional alignment, prioritization, and execution across the entire organization.
Implement operational frameworks (OKRs, weekly operating rhythms, KPI dashboards, forecasting models).
Own key company metrics: activation, retention, acquisition efficiency, revenue growth, and operational throughput.
Strategy & Company Leadership
Partner with the CEO on long‑term strategy, capital allocation, and sequencing of company bets.
Lead annual and quarterly planning, ensuring goals translate into clear execution.
Provide operational clarity around product launches, GTM motion, and global expansion.
Act as a force multiplier for the leadership team — reducing friction, accelerating decisions, and elevating execution.
GTM, Growth & Partnerships
Work closely with our Head of Growth on user acquisition, lifecycle optimization, and funnel efficiency.
Support B2B and ATS integration strategy, ensuring scalable onboarding and employer success.
Drive operational readiness for new markets, distribution channels, and monetization layers.
People, Culture & Talent
Build and scale a high‑ownership, high‑velocity organization.
Recruit top talent across product, growth, operations, and analytics.
Create a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
10+ years operating in high‑growth startups, marketplace businesses, or consumer apps — ideally in roles like COO, VP Operations, GM, or Chief of Staff (to CEO/Founder).
Track record of scaling orgs from early‑stage to multi‑functional teams.
Exceptional operator who brings structure without slowing speed; clarity without bureaucracy.
Strong analytical foundation — you think in KPIs, systems, and second‑order effects.
A cross‑functional leader who can dive deep into product, GTM, finance, and operations.
