The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidate to join our growing team in beautiful Culpeper, Virginia. Call taking anesthesiologist who has experience with labor and delivery as well as basic general surgery and spine cases Experience or interest in a rural practice and enjoys living in a smaller town Subspecialty training is a bonus, but not required Visa candidates welcome to apply Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care Basic peripheral nerve blocks Participates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care Implements monitors and adjusts patients physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patients needs Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety Supports operating room procedures Participates in additional areas of responsibility Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others Call is taken mostly from home "pager call" What Makes Us Stand Out
