Cresset is seeking an Associate Director, Private Wealth Client Services with 5+ years of experience managing the administrative and private banking needs for high net worth and ultra‑high net worth clientele. The candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and collaborate with a portfolio manager to build strong relationships and to drive retention and growth by providing a superior experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage client relationships on multi‑custodial platforms including Pershing, Schwab and Fidelity
Serve as a primary day‑to‑day contact for client inquiries, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional service
Lead client onboarding, including account opening, documentation, ACAT transfers, and complex entity structures (trusts, LLCs, charitable vehicles)
Implement investment strategies and executing allocation changes as directed by advisors
Process subscription and redemption documents for alternative investments and coordinate capital calls
Transfer and reconcile assets from contra firms; establish new custodial accounts and update account attributes as needed
Execute and monitor money movement requests, including wires, journals, capital calls
Establish 529 accounts and coordinate inflows and outflows
Establish client donor advised fund and manage fund activity and charitable distributions
Serve as a liaison between clients and external professionals, ensuring cohesive communication across investment, estate, tax, and legal disciplines
Facilitate tax document collection and coordinate directly with client CPAs and attorneys
Identify opportunities to enhance client experience and internal process scalability through technology and workflow improvements
Qualifications And Characteristics
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
5+ years’ financial services experience working with ultra‑high net worth clients
Experience with Pershing, Fidelity, and Schwab custodial platforms preferred
Ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships by delivering proactive communication, thoughtful solutions, and a white‑glove experience
Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
Approach problems with creativity, innovation, and tenacity
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex client requests
Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and structure client workflows effectively
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals
Adapt, improvise, and overcome challenges
Quickly and efficiently process and absorb information
Proactively approach problem solving with strong decision‑making capability
High integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in the use of Salesforce, Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
What We Offer At Cresset, we focus on people first. As a service business, our people are our assets. Engaging our clients and employees is our highest priority. Starting base salary range: $125,000 - $175,000. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
