We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Lake in Washington to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of a cutting‑edge data platform used by major IT and security organizations. You will collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and cross‑functional teams to implement scalable and maintainable features for a distributed cloud environment. This role emphasizes technical excellence and team collaboration, providing opportunities to influence product architecture while mentoring peers.
Accountabilities
Contribute to technical direction and architecture of the data platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver on product roadmaps and objectives.
Share knowledge and best practices with peers and junior engineers.
Identify and address technical risks, debt, and performance bottlenecks in the codebase.
Write maintainable, testable code and support engineering standards.
Optimize and extend platform capabilities, particularly in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
Participate in on‑call or off‑hours duties as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code in Node.js/TypeScript.
Strong experience with distributed systems, SaaS platforms, and backend service development on cloud providers (preferably AWS).
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, Linux, and cloud design patterns.
Experience with testing and assertion frameworks such as Mocha, Cypress, or Jest.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., BitBucket, Jenkins, CircleCI) and serverless/lambda implementations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote‑first team.
Strong communication skills, dedication to high‑quality software, and willingness to mentor others.
Appreciation for humor and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
