Computational Scientist - Cell Therapy & Synthetic Immunity Position Overview Our Cell Therapy and Synthetic Immunity group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Computational Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team developing innovative immunotherapies utilizing cell and gene therapy. This role will address both platform and target biology computational needs while collaborating with scientists focused on advancing cellular therapies and deepening our understanding of treatment mechanisms.
Contract Position | Remote (USA/Canada) | PST Business Hours Required
Contract Details:
Duration: Through December 18, 2026, with potential extension into 2027
Pay Rate: $40-$56/hour (flexible based on experience)
Start Date: ASAP in January 2026
Work Hours: Pacific Standard Time business hours
Location: Remote within USA
Key Responsibilities
Integrate multi-modal datasets including scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, and spatial transcriptomics to uncover insights into tumor microenvironments and immune responses before and after treatment.
Develop computational approaches to integrate large single-cell datasets and generate reference maps and cell atlases.
Utilize gene signatures to interpret changes in cell-type composition and functional states across longitudinal datasets.
Analyze large genomic datasets (bulk RNA-seq, WGS/WES) to generate comprehensive data packages supporting target identification and validation.
Design experimental studies and contribute innovative ideas to improve workflow efficiency.
Communicate complex analytical results clearly to interdisciplinary scientific teams.
Required Qualifications Education:
PhD in Computational Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or related field.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience analyzing single-cell genomics data (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, spatial omics).
Strong proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical computing and data visualization.
Familiarity with popular single-cell analysis tools such as Seurat, Scanpy, Cell Ranger, and Loupe.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex data analysis problems.
Professional Experience:
Background in Biotech/Pharma industry.
