Who You Are and What You’ll Do Capstone Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced
AWS Solution Architect
to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and compliant AWS multi-account environments. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience building multiple customer landing zones, configuring account structures, security controls, and governance frameworks, and working directly with AWS Professional Services to ensure alignment with AWS best practices. This role requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, strong communication skills for customer‑facing engagements, and the ability to lead the adoption of modern cloud operating models.
Responsibilities
Architect, design, and deliver AWS Landing Zones for multiple enterprise customers, leveraging AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and related governance tools.
Configure account structures, identity and access management (IAM), logging, monitoring, and security controls to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with AWS Professional Services and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions align with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework and industry best practices.
Lead discovery and design workshops with customer teams to gather requirements, define cloud governance models, and recommend modernization opportunities.
Automate landing zone deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Establish guardrails, operational practices, and cloud governance models to ensure consistent management across multi‑account environments.
Provide thought leadership and advisory guidance on cloud adoption, migration planning, and workload onboarding to the landing zone.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and act as a subject‑matter expert for AWS platform services, security, networking, and compliance.
Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions, with specific expertise in multi‑account strategies.
Proven track record of architecting and deploying multiple AWS Landing Zones (Control Tower and/or custom solutions).
Experience collaborating with AWS Professional Services or equivalent consulting engagements.
Strong knowledge of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs, IAM, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK).
Familiarity with networking concepts (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, hybrid connectivity).
Excellent communication and client‑facing skills, with experience facilitating workshops and executive discussions.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent advanced certification).
Nice to Have
Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services, government).
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, NIST, or FedRAMP.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native application design.
Prior consulting experience with a top‑tier cloud services provider or systems integrator.
