Position We are seeking an experienced High School French language acquisition teacher who is passionate, engaging, and motivated to teach our eager learners. This position teaches beginning French to incoming grade 9 students and follows them through to the end of grade 12 within the IB framework. Candidates should have a strong language education background and the confidence to create and deliver a dynamic, engaging curriculum while working with young adolescents.

Focus and Responsibilities

Prepare engaging and differentiated lesson plans according to the high‑school curriculum

Teach within the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum; professional development will be provided for those new to IB

Develop, enhance, and document curriculum while coordinating with colleagues in the World Languages department

Regularly assess students’ progress

Fully participate in the professional community and contribute to school life

Serve as a High School Advisor

As needed, participate in high‑school outdoor education, global travel trips, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred

Excellent communication skills with students and parents

Positive history of collegiality and collaboration with other teachers and administrators

Salary range for this position is $66,404 - $110,975 depending on experience and qualifications.
