JOB SUMMARY · The Warehouse General Manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day operations at FW Logistics’ Indianapolis facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable warehouse performance within a fast-paced 3PL environment. This role oversees food-grade warehouse operations, manages the site P&L, drives KPI performance, and ensures compliance with OSHA, AIB, FDA, and customer requirements. The General Manager provides hands‑on leadership to salaried and hourly teams, partners closely with temporary staffing agencies to meet labor demands, and works directly with customers to deliver high service levels. The ideal candidate brings proven 3PL leadership experience, strong food‑grade operational knowledge, and the ability to scale labor and processes while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage P&L Budget for location
Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and provide and maintain a positive and safe work environment
Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to maintain profitability
Establish and maintain operating procedures
Records and reports payroll into system weekly
Ensures all regulatory certificates are met (OSHA, ISO, AIB, CTPAT)
Provides management of staff, up to and including hiring, terminating, performance evaluation, training and staffing needs
Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment according to company policy
Participates in staff meetings
Must have proven leadership ability
Other duties as assigned

Strong problem‑solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
Experience in warehousing or Third‑Party Logistics (3PL)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
