The Center for Rheumatology, the largest independent rheumatology practice in upstate New York, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our well-established team.

Practice Highlights

Two locations: Albany and Saratoga Springs

Albany office offers full diagnostic and treatment services on site: X‑ray, lab, DEXA scans, ultrasounds, and infusions

Skin biopsies and PRP (platelet‑rich plasma) treatment

Active research involvement with Corevitas, advancing RA and PsA case studies

Large established patient population with steady new patient referrals

Strong administrative support including prescription management and prior authorization coordination, allowing you to focus on patient care

In this position, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles, and bones. You will conduct research to determine the cause and find better treatments for helping your patients fight and overcome these disabling and often fatal diseases.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

Creates treatment modalities based on scientific research

Treats arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis

Treats over 200 other types of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, back pain, tendinitis, and osteoporosis

Treats soft tissue problems related to musculoskeletal systems and sports‑related soft tissue disorders

Diagnoses diseases of the joints

Studies signs and symptoms of rheumatic disease and evaluates its effect on a patient’s system

Designs customized and individualized treatment plans, depending on a patient’s disease

Studies and gauges the results of a patient’s lab tests

Uses technologies and tools like radiographs, MRIs, and ultrasound
