Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant – Komen Graduate Training Program, MD Anderson Cancer Center Join us to apply for this role within the Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine department.

Overview Our department provides excellent anesthesia and pain medicine care for cancer patients. We seek a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant committed to patient safety, collaborative practice, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services under the medical direction of a credentialed anesthesiologist before, during, and after surgery or procedures.

Develop a plan of care based on pre‑operative assessments and coordinate with healthcare providers.

Initiate and administer anesthetic techniques and adjunctive agents to maintain patient homeostasis.

Monitor intra‑operative physiological responses and manage emergence and recovery.

Education Graduate of an anesthesiologist assistant education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Master of Science in Anesthesiology or equivalent degree.

Experience Required: None. Preferred: 2–5 years of clinical experience in a high‑acuity hospital, specialty hospital, academic medical center, or equivalent.

Certification

Current Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Salary USD 200,000 minimum – USD 235,000 midpoint – USD 270,000 maximum.
