Field Service Technician – Bay Area
Precor Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in the San Francisco Bay Area to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our commercial fitness equipment at membership‑based gym settings. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service, and the ability to travel long distances and work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
Configure, test, and calibrate Precor and Peloton products for quality and accuracy. Independently diagnose and resolve customer‑reported issues. Troubleshoot product issues and perform effective repairs. Maintain a clear understanding of spare parts and routine repairs. Follow specified processes, procedures, and reporting methods. Conduct preventive maintenance checks and adjustments. Perform repairs and maintenance at fitness facilities and in‑home locations. Provide outstanding customer service and educate customers on product usage and upkeep. Serve as a Precor product expert and brand ambassador. Ensure hardware, software, and network components function correctly after each service call. Record and replenish inventory and spare parts in the service vehicle. Maintain the company‑supplied vehicle in good working order. Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics, Technical School Technician, or equivalent technical training. Current valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Outgoing, multifaceted personality with excellent presentation skills. Strong customer‑service orientation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good problem‑solving skills and aptitude for troubleshooting on the fly. Moderate computer skills for documentation and data tracking. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Ability to handle a wide range of personalities. Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance. Flexible schedule, willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Compensation
Pay Range: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour. Actual pay will depend on experience, performance, and business needs. Benefits
