Director, HR Lead for U.S. Injectable Aesthetics
Location: Orange County, CA
Position Summary: The HR Lead serves as a strategic partner and advisor to the U.S. Injectable Aesthetics Business, ensuring alignment between the organization's people strategies and business goals. This role focuses on delivering HR services and solutions that enable employees to thrive and drive organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership : Collaborate closely with the Business Unit General Manager and management team, providing expert HR guidance and support.
Insights and Strategy Development : Analyze business trends and conditions to develop and implement effective people strategies that address current and future needs.
Service Delivery Excellence : Partner with HR centers of expertise (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent, People Solution Center) to ensure integrated, high-quality HR support for the business unit.
Performance Management : Offer day‑to‑day coaching, career development, and guidance on disciplinary actions to line managers to enhance individual and team performance.
Workplace Optimization : Collaborate with managers and employees to improve workplace relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
Regulatory Compliance : Maintain deep knowledge of employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance in partnership with the legal team.
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning : Provide insights and recommendations on organizational structure, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
Talent Management & Development : Lead initiatives to identify, retain, and develop key talent through succession planning, leadership development, and team‑building activities.
Assessment and Organizational Effectiveness : Utilize and recommend assessment tools to evaluate organizational and leadership effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities : Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required and relevant industry experience strongly preferred
Minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, and/or an HR Operations role
Comprehensive knowledge of HR disciplines, including compensation, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment law (federal and state)
Exceptional presentation, communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution abilities
Proven track record in building and leading high‑performance teams
Skilled at managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills to build business cases and recommend actionable solutions
Base Pay Range $210,000.00/yr – $250,000.00/yr
About the Compensation
The base salary range for this role is determined based on several factors including job accountabilities, skill sets, experience and training, certifications, work location, competitive market rates and other business needs. At Galderma, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a unique combination of factors for each role. A reasonable estimate of the hiring range for this role is $210,000–$250,000.
In addition to base salary, we provide an opportunity to participate in an annual short‑term incentive program that is based on corporate performance with a multiplier focused on individual performance.
