Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Manage the recruitment and selection process.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
Nurture a positive working environment.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required.
Minimum of 5 years in a VP of HR or CHRO role.
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
Prior development and turnaround of HR functions.
Software experience with Paylocity or similar, strong Excel user.
Proven experience in Strategic Planning, Human Resources Management, Leadership, Organizational Development, Performance Management, Change Management, HR Policies, HR Transformation, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning.
Ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.
Ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team providing company leadership and direction.
Ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors.
Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and excellent organizational management skills.
