Duties and Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Follow up on pathology
results for all GI biopsies performed and ensure communication of results to patients.
Perform
admission, work-up, diagnosis, and non-surgical treatment , including consultation for patients admitted or requiring care for general medical problems.
Provide
collaborative care
for liver and pancreas transplant patients, including timely submission of required referral documentation.
Conduct
history and physical examinations , develop care plans, and obtain consent for GI endoscopy procedures.
Perform
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
procedures.
Operate or direct the operation
of fluoroscopic equipment for medical procedures.
Actively participate in
teaching residents and medical students , including leading Noon Conferences for didactic training.
Participate in
educational programs
for GI and physician personnel, including a minimum of one
Medical Grand Rounds presentation annually .
