Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Juvenile Court

Overview As the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Fulton County Juvenile Court, you will step into a mission‑critical leadership role with the authority to strengthen programs that directly impact safety, stability, and opportunity for young people. This position offers an opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams while driving innovation across one of Georgia’s most dynamic juvenile court systems.
Qualifications
Master's degree (Public, Business, Judicial Administration, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, or related) OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four (4) or more years of progressively responsible experience in a court system or related area, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience at a senior management level.
Juris Doctorate preferred but not required.
Valid State of Georgia driver’s license or proof of mobility equivalent.
Knowledge of juvenile justice, child welfare, educational advocacy systems (CHINS, probation, GAL functions, mediation), multidisciplinary team leadership, court operations, data‑driven decision‑making, trauma‑informed approach, and multi‑agency collaboration.
Proficiency in supervising staff, budgeting, technology, human resources, and creating client‑focused services.
Essential Duties
Oversee daily operations of court services including Court Administration, Court and Family Services, Clerk of Court’s Office, Behavioral Health Services, and Probation Services.
Develop, implement, and interpret policies and procedures; design and execute business strategies to improve court operations.
Build and lead a strong management team to achieve strategic, operational, and programmatic goals.
Supervise, evaluate, and provide leadership development for court staff; manage hiring, promotion, performance appraisals, and training.
Direct fiscal, human resources, and IT infrastructure; ensure compliance with EEO and ADA requirements.
Collaborate with judges and the Chief Administrative Officer to identify key performance measures and strategic benchmarks.
Develop and maintain community partnerships through program activities and network engagement.
Serve as senior advisor on all juvenile court related matters and participate in policy review and revision.
Licensing Requirements
