Minimum Knowledge and Experience

BS Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics (equivalent experience will be considered)

2 – 3 years of experience of process improvement

2 – 3 years of experience of project management

Skills

Strategic and structured problem solving for a wide range of applications

Ability to analyze and integrate data from live studies and datasets to draw conclusions

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn a new industry. Knowledge or experience of the transportation industry is a plus

Strong prioritization, organization, and time management skills in a dynamic environment

Ability to collaborate with and influence wider organizational culture through systemic, sustainable approaches

Demonstrated capability to represent Keolis as a credible ambassador to regulatory bodies, the client, and senior stakeholders

Key personal traits: forward thinking, proactive, resilient, sound judgement, innovative where required, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence

Excellent written, verbal, communication, interpersonal, and presentational skills with a variety of disciplines and levels in the organization

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience creating data-driven visuals for analysis. Familiarity with Power BI for building dashboards is considered a strong plus.

Key Accountabilities (Essential Job Duties) Demonstrates understanding and adheres to the KCS principles of Employee Engagement, Operational Excellence, Safety & Security, and Economic Performance

Operations Transformation

Work with operational teams within the business to develop lasting solutions to the root causes of problems, creating a measurable change in operational performance

Conduct live studies in key operational parts of the business to identify the biggest opportunity areas within a given business function

Analyze large, complex, imperfect datasets to find true insights, and communicate the data in a compelling way

Prioritize findings to develop project plans and be accountable for the delivery of those plans from beginning to end to ensure on‑time delivery of results

Work with stakeholders at all levels of the business, from the field to VP level, to present findings and create a case for the recommended changes

Ensure sustainability of solutions by embedding the new process into business as usual.

Use data to value performance improvements, tracking value before, during, and after implementation of the project

Keolis Benchmarking

Lead collaboration with other Keolis subsidiaries to learn about operations best practices

Develop sensible proposals to implement the foundational concepts of the best practices to Keolis Commuter Rail operations

Deliver operations changes applying Keolis best practices

Completes other duties as assigned

Working Conditions (including Physical Demands)

Environment: 80% in an office setting and 20% in the field

When in the field, exposure to loud noise, extreme heat or cold, rough terrain, etc.

0% - 10% Travel Requirements

Weekend work a few times a year but compensated through flexible work schedule
