Position: Board Certified Family Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical history assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and health education.

Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.

Perform procedures including suturing, wound care, and basic life support interventions as needed.

Coordinate with specialists across disciplines such as cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, psychiatry, and radiology for comprehensive patient management.

Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, ensuring seamless continuity of care through discharge planning and follow‑up.

Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and adhere to NCQA standards.

Provide health coaching on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and preventive screenings such as mammography or immunizations.

Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while safeguarding patient records and confidentiality.

Experience

Proven experience in outpatient family medicine practice with a strong foundation in primary care principles.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms for documentation and patient management.

Experience managing diverse patient populations across age groups with varying medical needs, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and maternal‑fetal medicine.

Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to family medicine.

Previous hospital or inpatient experience is preferred, especially within Level I or Level II trauma center settings.

Competence in performing procedures such as suturing, airway management, IV infusion, and basic dermatological treatments.

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, nephrology, orthopedics, and behavioral health.

Demonstrated commitment to patient service excellence with strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.

Education Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited institution

Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine

Additional Specialized Training and/or Certification/Licensure

American Board Certified

Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Michigan.

Maintains unrestricted clinical and pharmaceutical licensure with the State of Michigan and FDA.

Experience in family practice.

Basic Life Support Card.

Board Certification.

DEA Certifications.

Annual Salary Range Starting at $215K.
