Job Overview Support SHL Assembly & Services commercial growth initiatives under global strategic direction through execution of business strategies focused on final assembly, labeling, packaging, and technical services for combination drug delivery devices. Generating leads, managing opportunities, and expanding strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and MedTech sectors under global guidance and in close contact with Global teams.
Main Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key clients.
Implementing tailored account plans developed in coordination with Global strategy to achieve client and company objectives.
Client Needs Assessment: Understanding client needs, anticipating future requirements, and identifying opportunities for growth and reporting to Global teams.
Communication and Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between clients and internal teams, facilitating communication and ensuring a seamless experience.
Problem Solving: Addressing client issues and complaints and working to resolve them effectively.
Sales and Revenue Growth: Supporting market engagement and lead generation in alignment with global revenue objectives by identifying and reporting upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
U.S. Performance Monitoring: Tracking account performance, preparing reports, and presenting key metrics to Global Teams.
Strategic Business Development
Support identification and evaluation of new business opportunities in the U.S. market under global strategic direction.
Execute activities aligned with long-term commercial strategy set by Global Teams in line with SHL Medical’s growth objectives.
Monitor market dynamics and competitor activities.
Lead Generation and Opportunity Management
Generate, qualify, and nurture leads.
Build strategic partnerships with existing and new clients.
Support sales cycle activities until handoff to project execution teams under global oversight.
Proposal and Contract Development
Acts as a liaison between potential customer and Global commercial leadership to support contract discussions.
Coordinate proposals, quotations, RFIs, RFQs, and commercial contracts preparation under guidance from Global Teams.
Support negotiations efforts led by Global Teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliant contracts.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
Deepen customer relationships and understand technical/commercial needs.
Engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
Represent SHL at industry events.
Project & Process Support
Participate in design reviews and provide customer insights.
Improve internal sales processes and CRM systems.
Ensure smooth project transitions.

Manage and report commercial pipeline.
Facilitate cross‑functional alignment.
Track and report KPIs and key metrics.
Support key account management efforts in coordination with Global teams.
Gather and report market intelligence to support Global strategic decisions.
Mentor junior BD staff (if applicable).
Skills And Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field required.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
10+ years in business development or sales in pharma/medical devices.
Proven success in complex B2B sales.
Experience with contract manufacturing services preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent presentation and strategic thinking skills.
Deep industry understanding and cross‑functional leadership.
Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
