Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Networking Services Finance
Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites experienced financial analysts to join its AWS Networking Services Finance team. Since 2006, AWS has delivered infrastructure as a service to companies of all sizes, and this role will support the fast‑growing Direct Connect and Transit Gateway businesses.
Overview As a Senior Financial Analyst you will work closely with senior finance leadership and key business partners to provide financial planning, decision support, controllership, and private deal modeling. Your analytical rigor, passion for accuracy, and strong communication skills will help drive high‑quality financial insights and support AWS’s mission of world‑class customer support.
Responsibilities
Build and enhance P&L and pricing/forecasting models for new and existing services.
Develop private deal desk models for key custom customers.
Lead the financial planning and budgeting process.
Create, maintain, and improve management reporting and dashboards.
Compile and review financial results and operational plans.
Communicate results to company leaders and partner with finance, product, capacity, and operations teams for MBRs, QBRs, forecasts, and opportunity assessments.
Partner with business and finance teams for Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and forecasts.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or CPA.
Knowledge of Tableau and large‑scale data tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
Experience with financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
5+ years of applying KPIs to financial analyses.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (macros, pivots, lookups).
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Ability to manage stakeholders in a high‑pressure environment.
Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
