The Opportunity Adobe Research is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in generative world models to join the Graphics and 3D Imaging Research organization based in the Bay Area. You will explore next-generation models that learn
consistent world representations , support
long-horizon video and 3D generation , and enable
interactive, controllable creative experiences . You will be working with a world-class team of research scientists and engineers to invent algorithms for hard research problems, and incorporate these algorithms into Adobe products, thus putting your work in the hands of millions of creative artists and designers. Our lab encourages publication of research ideas and supports collaborative research efforts with academic institutions. Our internship program provides an influx of new ideas, making our lab an exciting place for technical growth.
What You Will Do
Pursue research in world models, including:
controllable, interactive video and 3D generation
long‑term temporal modeling and visual memory
spatially grounded scene representations
Invent and prototype state‑of‑the‑art algorithms in collaboration with Adobe researchers
Publish in premier AI/ML, vision, and graphics venues and file patents
Build functional prototypes, including large‑scale training, evaluation, and deployment
Work with product teams to integrate models into Adobe’s creative ecosystem
What You Will Need To Succeed
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a focus on AI/ML or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of four years of proven experience doing state‑of‑the‑art research and translating that research into product impact
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: world models, video generation, 3D generation
A strong personal research track record including peer‑reviewed publications in top‑tier AI/ML, vision and graphics and/or contributions to open‑source projects
Experience with large‑scale generative/transformer models (data processing, distributed training, post‑training and distillation, optimized inference, analysis and evaluation)
Exceptional Python and deep learning development skills and experience with one or more training or deployment environments (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $164,600 – $313,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
