team at WillowTree. This role requires an in‑office hybrid presence (Tuesdays, Wednesdays* and Thursdays). The role can be located in

Boston, MA ,

Columbus, OH ,

Charlottesville, VA , or

Durham, NC . (Note: Wednesdays are not required in Boston, MA.)

The Opportunity As a

Manager, Delivery (Data & AI) , you will be a key member of project leadership, working closely with Data Science and AI Engineers and key stakeholders, while growing partnerships and managing project expectations, timelines, and resources. You’ll lead negotiations throughout the project development process and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders. Your expertise in project management methodologies and your adaptability will be crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Create, guide, and communicate holistic project plans and goals to align stakeholders and achieve delivery success.

Partner across teams to drive product development, own creation of mission‑critical products, and deliver desired outcomes.

Leverage client services experience to provide effective decision‑making on scope, design, architecture, and process.

Deliver timely, tailored communication for various audiences: data & AI teams, engineering, product managers, marketing partners, and C‑level executives.

Manage stakeholder expectations, track progress, report risks, and monitor mitigation approaches and metrics.

Optimize processes and time usage for the team while focusing on key client activities.

Apply appropriate project management frameworks that suit the customer and product.

Navigate changing scenarios while facilitating and communicating solutions for complex problems.

Leverage AI‑first tooling to optimize and accelerate day‑to‑day work.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience partnering with professionals from Software, Data Science, and Data Engineering to address complex technical challenges and relevant business problems.

Familiarity with managing scope and delivering projects involving Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, and other AI or Generative AI applications.

Proven record of project leadership using agile approaches or other delivery methods.

Experience facilitating working sessions with client stakeholder groups and internal teams.

Guided multidisciplinary teams, valuing collaboration and feedback for success.

Ability to clarify complex ideas and navigate ambiguity for your team and client.

Bonus Points

Previous experience in Automation or Conversation AI projects.

Professional experience as a Project or Product Manager and Scrum Master from a major technology consultancy or agency.

Experience with Customer Experience and basic CX processes and KPIs.

Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PMP, SA, SPC.

Account planning and growth activities.

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related reasons determined during the interview process. Role ranges are periodically reviewed and updated based on market changes, internal needs, and industry trends. To drive ongoing pay equity for team members, TELUS Digital conducts regular compensation audits.

USA Pay Range $100,000 – $160,000 USD
