What you’ll build
The BTS Public Sector Finance Architect role will lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives for SAP’s largest and most important customers. Responsibilities include creating strategic and tactical roadmaps, charting the deployment of digital solutions SAP offers, and developing compelling business cases to guide our customers’ strategic decision‑making activities.
Provide comprehensive advice on long‑ and short‑term opportunities for key strategic imperatives and recommend innovations that anticipate the future direction of business and IT stakeholders in Finance.
Facilitate collaborative architecture discussions with customers’ IT and business executives.
Work effectively across multiple functions and teams to define clear requirements that achieve business outcomes.
Analyze key business and IT requirements in Finance, focusing on Budget, Funds and Grants Management, SPL95.
Develop strategic roadmaps for Finance that outline the evolution of enterprise business solution portfolios from current to future state.
Identify improvement potentials within Finance, especially Public Sector Finance capabilities.
Influence transition states toward joint business outcomes and build on SAP solution value.
What you bring
Leadership experience and deep knowledge of SAP solutions and technologies, particularly in the A&D Industry, with understanding of commercial and military specifics.
Excellent interpersonal skills (teamwork, facilitation, negotiation) for leading customer engagements at the executive level.
Proven knowledge of Public Sector Finance processes and experience implementing SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud solutions for Public Sector Finance.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to deliver strategies and technical information in an engaging and persuasive manner to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives.
≥5 years SAP solution experience and ≥5 years management consulting experience.
≥10 years solution and/or architecture experience in regulated industries in North America (USA preferred).
Relevant SAP and enterprise architecture certifications (TOGAF, Open CA, IASA) are valued.
MBA preferred.
