Job Description About the Role
Security is not an afterthought here—it is a priority. We are seeking a dedicated
Cybersecurity Engineer
to help us build, maintain, and monitor a secure IT environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. You will manage
firewalls , analyze
SIEM logs , and lead
incident response
efforts. You are the shield that protects our customers and our code.
Threat Monitoring:
Monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations using SIEM tools (Splunk, Datadog, or AlienVault).
Infrastructure Security:
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS).
Vulnerability Management:
Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weak points in our system.
Incident Response:
Lead the immediate response to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and mitigation.
Cloud Security:
Secure our cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) by implementing IAM policies and encryption standards.
Compliance:
Assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR).
Requirements What We Are Looking For
Experience:
3+ years of experience in Information Security or Network Engineering.
Certifications:
Possession of industry-standard certs like CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM is highly preferred.
Networking:
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and routing protocols.
OS Knowledge:
Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows administration.
Scripting:
Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security tasks.
Mindset:
You are paranoid (in a healthy way) and stay up-to-date on the latest CVEs and zero-day threats.
Preferred Tech Stack (Keywords)
Cloud: AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel
Salary Range:
$50,000 – $180,000 USD / year (Commensurate with experience)
Remote Work:
Fully remote or hybrid options available.
Education:
Budget for maintaining certifications (CPE credits) and attending security conferences (DefCon, Black Hat).
Secure Hardware:
Company-issued secure laptop and hardware keys (YubiKey).
