Hardware Failure Analysis Engineer – San Jose, CA (onsite)

Key Skills

• HW Debug and Test Engineer
• Bring up boards and systems (power, control path, data path) and test using diagnostic software.
• Troubleshoot failing boards and arrive at root cause
• Work with HW Engineer to come up with proper corrective action.
• Prepare root cause analysis documentation
• Follow established bug filing and FA process.

Skills required

• Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred but not a must
• 5+ years’ experience in PCB level and electronic hardware troubleshooting
• Knowledge of any one of hardware products (routers, switches, servers, storage, desk top CPU, laptop, power or test equipment etc.)
• Experience with lab bring up and debug.
• Experience with board tools such as Allegro, Altium etc.
• Good communications skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
