- The unit secretary is responsible and accountable for the daily clerical operations of the nursing unit, performs receptionist duties andmaintainssupplies/equipment for the unit.
- The unit secretaryparticipatesin a positive patient experience including supporting RNs in the delivery of patient care items and providing meal companionship to patients.
- High School Diplomaor GED equivalent isrequired.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Saving (BLS) certificationrequiredupon hire.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills arerequired.
- Public contact and clerical experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone preferred.
