This position will interface with Commercial Executives to ensure Engineering & Construction (E&C) is integrated with our Commercial teams to provide work plans, schedules and project estimates to execute growth projects within commercial constraints and enable continued organic growth for the Partnership. This person will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination to help integrate all relative disciplines necessary to provide seamless and complete deliverables to our Commercial customers. This position is a strategic service provider role to serve Commercial and interface with project stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Single point of contact for Commercial for high profile, high potential project development opportunities Attend regularly scheduled Commercial update meetings for various business units to stay apprised of new upcoming opportunities and forecast Commercial needs. Develop strong working relationships based on trust and consistent delivery of project information to assist Commercial in successfully winning growth opportunities. Ensure scope of work is complete and we are aligned between E&C and Commercial Assist and serve our E&C Project Managers/Directors by defining the commercial project needs and coordinating priorities to help them meet deadlines and constraints and meet Commercial’s expectations (i.e., servant leadership) Lead the project development team and support, but be confident and competent enough to make a call in execution planning that might conflict with the team based on overriding Commercial objectives Ensure changes in scope are clearly communicated and understood by all team members Identify and ensure potential project risk items are captured Proactively provide periodic updates on commitments to Commercial Sponsors Maintain version control for all transmitted documentation Have a well-organized filing system for all development opportunities Manage a portfolio of multiple project opportunities for multiple business units Committed to meet demanding schedules Develop capital, revenue and expense projections for capital projects and perform economic evaluation of projects Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure operability of project concepts Perform thorough QA/QC on all deliverables before transmittal Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction/Project Management A minimum of 12+ years of experience in project management of pipelines and stations Good working knowledge of industry design and safety codes (i.e., B31.8, 49CFR192 and 195, etc.) Strong management and leadership skills Excellent communications and interpersonal skills Strong technical writing and organizational skills Fundamental high value for customer service Proven track record managing multiple activities and priorities within fast-track schedules Ability to develop realistic but aggressive schedules Proficient in cost controls and impact of schedule against cash flow Ability to thrive amid shifting priorities with little notice Ability to problem solve unforeseen challenges and drive to solutions to meet our customers’ needs Strong team building skills and influencing across organizational boundaries Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint Strong “EQ”; able to quickly understand the environmental dynamics to effectively communicate customers’ priorities and needs at all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a third-party provider of services Experience in Commercial Operations Experience in Operations organization Special Considerations: Travel required (
Working Conditions: Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
