Definition and Responsibilities
The Dentist provides comprehensive dental services for adults and children, including cleaning, scaling, extractions, fillings, anterior root canals, and other restorative procedures in accordance with medical staff practice guidelines. Demonstrates good judgment when a dental problem is beyond the scope of clinic services. Reports to the Dental Director/Chief Medical Officer and Clinic Administrator.
Qualifications
Graduation from an ADA‑approved dental school.
Current valid California license as a dentist and a DEA number.
One or more years of general dentistry practice in a community clinic setting.
Preferably bilingual in English/Spanish.
Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development principles over the lifespan of patients.
Ability to identify and categorize each patient’s age‑specific grouping of needs (infant, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
