Hoag Health, the top-ranked health system in Orange County, is seeking an experienced Urology PA or NP to join our growing team! Excellent opportunity to join an established, nationally recognized organization in beautiful Orange County, California. Hoag Specialty Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and personable Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in Urology to join our nationally ranked program based in Newport Beach, California. Hoag Urology Center is a recognized leader in accurately diagnosing and treating urological issues while providing the most advanced surgical, non-surgical, and minimally invasive treatment options available.
Responsibilities
Full-Time opportunity in Newport Beach, CA and Irvine, CA
Outpatient focused role with inpatient duties as needed, including service as first surgical assist in operating room
Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, etc.
Assess, diagnose, plan and implement the medical care of patients in collaboration with a physician
Function within the full scope of licensure; accountable for assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care
Provide medical consultation including performance of therapeutic procedures delegated by the supervising physician, assist with various procedures, provide patient education, treatment and follow-up, may complete daily rounds and as needed using an organized multi-disciplinary team approach to provide continuity of care throughout the care continuum
Manage patients in an office, hospital, emergency and/or perioperative setting
Follow ambulatory care and inpatient standardized procedures, protocols, policy and procedures
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique relative to operative procedures wherein the PA assists
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
2 years of recent relevant experience as a Urology PA or NP required
Demonstrates knowledge of patient care guidelines/policy as evidenced by quality of documentation
Medical knowledge and skills applicable to perform within the scope of practice
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
Working knowledge of electronic health records such as EPIC
Active CA PA license or ability to obtain CA PA license
