Rancho Regional Veterinary Hospital is ready to welcome an Amazing Medical Director with exceptional leadership skills to help grow our practice! We are also seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian who has a passion for general practice surgery & dentistry. This hospital is under new leadership and offers an ideal schedule Monday–Friday 8 am–6 pm, no weekends. Our community is counting on us to provide the best care to their loving pets. The Medical Director (MD) is responsible for providing strong leadership for the hospital, managing and mentoring associate veterinarians, assuring regulatory compliance related to veterinary medicine, maintaining a teamwork environment, and holding shared responsibility for the financial health of the hospital. The MD also serves as a staff veterinarian in addition to administrative duties. Effective MDs demonstrate strong work and professional ethics, a positive attitude, and uphold a high standard of patient care. Rancho Regional is a state‑of‑the‑art full‑service small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to Rancho Cucamonga, CA and surrounding areas. Compensation Package

Highly competitive salary $200,000–$250,000 Associate Veterinarian salary (Based on experience) No negative accrual quarterly production Medical Director‑Annual stipend $10,000 Ideal schedule—no weekends Generous sign‑on & retention packages available up to $75,000. Key Responsibilities

Maintaining a high quality of progressive veterinary care Overseeing and giving directives regarding medical standards and quality of care Setting policies as they pertain to the practice of medicine Working toward making various services function as one team Recommending additions to the hospital inventory in conjunction with appropriate leadership team members Budgeting for new equipment and providing a reasonable cost estimate and return on investment Seeing patients and handling clinical practice Ensuring positive communication with clients and between doctors, including proper transfer of patient care responsibilities Reviewing patient records for completeness and accuracy and using them to promote medical excellence Appropriately managing controlled drugs Reviewing and approving requests for alternatives to additional drugs and supplies Conducting regular doctor meetings Performing other duties as assigned by Manager Handling patient‑care problems, client complaints, and referral partner issues Managing veterinary client and board complaints and recommending resolutions Developing medical policies Assisting in ensuring practice compliance with the State Veterinary Medical Practice Act, OSHA, and AAHA standards Monitoring DVM performance and production, providing coaching when appropriate Serving as a mentor and role model for all staff veterinarians Leading candidate interviews of potential DVMs Identifying new service opportunities that do not currently exist in the hospital Holding ownership for the revenue and success of the practice through monitoring key performance indicators and working with the Hospital Manager to make adjustments to achieve positive results Helping identify and plan for upcoming challenges in maintaining hospital operations and possible temporary solutions (locum) Qualifications (Required)

Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university Current State Veterinary License DEA registration must be obtained and maintained 3–5 years of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the medical and hospital staff Client communication skills must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, and offer explanations to pet owners Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness or pain May require some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
