Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator (Coney Island YMCA) Apply for the Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator position at YMCA of the USA's Coney Island YMCA. This role supports the Healthy Lifestyles department by delivering consistent, quality healthy lifestyle programming and enhancing customer service and member retention.

Salary: $25.00 hourly. The position is part‑time with an emphasis on community impact.

Responsibilities:

Manage Fitness Center and Equipment.

Coordinate Personal Training.

Organize Group Exercise.

Support Y Fit Start programming.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.

Current adult CPR and First Aid certifications.

Knowledge of Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y and Principles of Member Health & Wellness.

Knowledge of Health & Wellness practices as they pertain to programs and services.

Knowledge of the Foundations of Listen First.

Knowledge of the Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and Group Exercise.

Applicable industry certifications.

Attend YMCA hospitality training within ninety (90) days of hire.

Ability to work with participants of varying experience and skill levels.

Excellent customer service skills.

Essential Functions:

Assist in recruitment, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of program staff.

Provide outstanding hospitality to all members and guests.

Assist with program management to maximize member satisfaction, revenue, and compliance.

Provide members with opportunities that increase their involvement, sense of belonging, and ownership.

Assist in development, control, and tracking of departmental budget.

Research, facilitate, and build quality programs that provide member satisfaction.

Set annual priority objectives and improve services based on staff and customer feedback.

Serve as a point of contact for all Healthy Lifestyles staff.

Track and ensure staff certifications are current and on file.

Assist in scheduling, maintaining, and managing facility and equipment.

Execute administrative duties such as tracking, reports, schedules, equipment, supplies, and payroll.

Maintain required certifications, tracked in Club Connect.

Actively participate in training sessions and designated meetings.

Have thorough knowledge of branch emergency procedures and act accordingly.

Support community and promotional special events as needed.

Serve as a branch Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
