About the Role As a Math Tutor at Braintrust Tutors, you'll work with students to strengthen their mathematical reasoning, number sense, and problem-solving strategies. You'll provide engaging, consistent lessons using Braintrust Tutors curriculum and materials, helping students build foundational math skills and confidence.

12-14 weeks

Approximately 3 days per week

School-day hours

What You Will Do

Provide small-group or 1:1 math tutoring to elementary or middle school students

Implement Braintrust Tutors intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelity

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance

Collaborate with the Braintrust Tutors Operations team and school staff to support student growth

Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes focus and confidence

Follow school-site procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presence

Use provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instruction

Manage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activities

What You Will Have

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Active or expired teaching license

Knowledge of math instruction that builds number sense, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills, with a scope and sequence ranging from counting to multi-digit arithmetic, including decimals and fractions.

Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Comfort collaborating with teachers and staff

Punctuality, professionalism, and reliability for all scheduled sessions

Reliable transportation and/or appropriate technology for virtual instruction (depending on placement)

Passion for math and closing opportunity gaps
