Senior Strategic Sourcer - Supply Chain Semiconductors
Manage key supplier relationships, drive strategic sourcing initiatives, and ensure cost‑effective procurement for semiconductor commodities. Report to the VP of Strategic Sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commodity‑specific sourcing strategies to ensure availability of high‑quality, cost‑effective materials.
Manage executive‑level strategic supplier relationships, drive value, and align partnership models across companies.
Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms, and SLAs; develop and manage contracts; ensure compliance and proactively manage metrics.
Drive cost‑saving initiatives, identify alternatives, and improve processes.
Monitor market trends; provide insights on pricing, supply risks, and sourcing opportunities.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, logistics, and manufacturing to align sourcing with production needs.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
Track key performance metrics and report progress to senior leadership.
Work with suppliers to improve capabilities, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with quality and production schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering; master’s in business administration or related field; 10+ years in contract/supplier management.
Direct experience in semiconductor industry.
Proven supplier negotiation, cost‑reduction, and market intelligence analysis skills.
Deep expertise in contracting and supplier negotiations.
Strong legal acumen.
Demonstrated excellence in leading organizational transformations.
Executive presence, stakeholder management, communication, and influence.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools (Ariba, Coupa).
Strong analytical skills and data‑driven decision making.
Preferred
Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain or Engineering).
Certification in procurement (CPSM, CPM) or Six Sigma.
Experience designing supplier development or training programs, especially around contracting and negotiation.
Experience designing supplier relationship management programs across globally matrixed organizations.
