Job Description Purpose : The Senior Director MSAT Strategic Operations & Packaging (SO&P) will sit on the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) Leadership Team and lead the Strategic Operations & Packaging group within MSAT. The role is accountable for supporting MSAT Teams and the greater MTO by enabling the successful leadership and management of business and technical processes and Packaging Engineering for all internal and external sites.

Responsibilities :

Ideate, shape, drive, and optimize business and technical processes, along with the associated tools, essential to business strategy execution.

Ensure robust process governance and continuous improvement, providing a framework for accountability and adherence.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align with organizational goals and enhance process efficacy.

Serve as a change agent, conveying an aspirational vision and strategy for MSAT and implementing new ways of working embraced by all.

Lead culture of agility, innovation, technical excellence, business acumen, and harmonized ways of working across MSAT.

Communicate performance, progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders, including senior management.

Assess risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo into team objectives and decision‑making processes.

Key SO&P Areas

Business Management: Identify and centralize work & services across MSAT, optimize and standardize processes, automate and/or outsource, and drive strategic workforce planning and training.

Strategy & Performance: Drive MSAT’s strategy, both development and execution, and enable performance management delivering insights to the different MSAT teams.

Technical Knowledge: Continuous improvement for core technical processes (TT, LCPV, Cleaning), governance for Communities of Practice, and knowledge management.

Packaging Engineering: Provide secondary and tertiary packaging material design, equipment & transportation support for launches, technical transfers, lifecycle management, and related projects.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (MSC/MBA preferred).

12‑15 years of related experience, including 5‑10 years in a technical, manufacturing, or support environment.

Senior level management experience overseeing teams across geographic regions.

Strong business acumen, results orientation, finance/budget understanding.

Comprehensive knowledge of end‑to‑end supply chain.

Proven ability to develop and communicate vision and strategy for a large, diverse team.

Commitment to building and maintaining an inclusive culture.

Experience influencing peers and senior leaders and building strategic alliances.

Strong change‑leadership skills.

Additional Requirements

Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Ability to work across international time zones.

Up to 20% domestic/international travel.

Work on‑site minimum three days per week; up to two remote days.

Compensation Anticipated base pay range in the US: $178,000.00 – $307,050.00. Applicants hired outside the US will receive compensation in accordance with local market.
