Overview The

Manager, Insights & Strategy , will champion a people‑first approach to unearth actionable insights for a major client. The Manager’s day‑to‑day is currently as an individual contributor, connected and supported by Insights & Strategy leadership as well as being an embedded member of the client team, collaborating with more senior contributors and peers across disciplines, with the potential for adding direct managerial oversight. This role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to grow their skills through data‑driven story‑telling and the development of actionable client implications.

Responsibilities Overall:

Analyze and connect the dots between diverse and disparate data sets to derive meaningful insights

Develop research hypotheses, construct research plan/methodology and conduct research (syndicated, secondary, social listening, qualitative and quantitative custom research) to solve clients burning questions

Develop and present client‑ready insight presentations inclusive of data visualization and storytelling

Evaluate innovative data partners to develop new approaches to uncovering insights

Work in partnership with client research and internal strategy and analytics team; have deep knowledge of client’s business goals and challenges

Incorporate the fundamental principles of Starcom’s inclusive marketing philosophy and planning approach

Audience Strategy & Insights

Build compelling personas that bring key audience segments to life

Exhibit a solid understanding of the use and relevant application of transaction and survey‑based data

Partner with Planning and Investment teams on translating upstream audience insight into targetable audiences

Category, Cultural, and Business Strategy & Insights

Category analysis and evaluation of a brand’s market position and opportunities for growth

Partner with Planning and Investment teams on media sufficiency analysis to understand the media spend needed to meet client + audience‑specific goals

Monitor cultural, category and audience specific trends to educate internal teams, partner agencies and clients – translating trends into strategic opportunities + implications

Qualifications

3+ years in media/marketing research, consumer insight, business consulting, or digital advertising research/analytics/ insight

Strong grounding in traditional and digital media research (control/exposed methodologies, market mix modeling)

Experience with statistical software packages, especially SAS and SPSS, strongly preferred

Experience with multiple methodological approaches (social listening, syndicated tools, primary research)

Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets

Strong grounding in traditional and digital media research, such as advertising effectiveness, ROI

Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, GoodData, Datorama is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent Microsoft Office skills; PowerPoint and advanced Excel

Ability to work independently and in a team setting while effectively managing priorities

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: $79,990 - $114,975 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
