Job Description and Responsibilities The
Director of Development - Facility Advisory Services
is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team focused on evaluating the physical condition of healthcare facilities and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards, transition planning, and facility activation/readiness support. This role supports strategic capital planning, development, risk mitigation, and regulatory alignment across a diverse portfolio of healthcare properties.
The Director reports directly to the Market Leader/Principal (business development) and Development Service Line Leader (client project work) and has responsibility for service line profitability while maintaining leadership responsibilities for company‑wide business development initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities
National leader and promoter of all aspects of facility advisory services.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting of building systems and infrastructure.
Develop and maintain assessment criteria and methodologies aligned with industry best practices.
Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory changes and implications for facility operations.
Facilitate compliance with ADA, OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, CMS, and other applicable standards.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage audits and inspections.
Develop long‑term capital improvement plans and facilities master plans.
Manage projects and teams responsible for facility activation.
Deliver client Board‑level presentations and attend executive‑level meetings.
Oversee assessors, engineers, and other compliance professionals.
Key involvement and facilitation of service line and company‑wide business development efforts.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in facility condition assessments, regulatory compliance, or facilities management
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction standards, and regulatory frameworks
Proven leadership experience with cross‑functional teams
Certifications such as CFM, PMP, CHFM, CHSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
Experience with software programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, PlanGrid, PMWeb, or similar
Allocation of Time
Business Development – 40%
Client – 60%
Overnight travel may be required up to 50%

Salary Houston, TX: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
