Job Summary
The Product Director will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing innovations in Bistro, a risk-informed, action-oriented pane of glass for institutional investors, especially insurance clients and asset managers with private & public market exposures, to monitor exposures, compare risks, and forecast cash flows for their portfolios in real-time.
Reporting to a senior product leader based in the U.S., this role will oversee defining the product requirements and planning its development to production, working closely with clients to make them successful. Additionally, the Product Manager is tasked with crafting the product roadmap necessary to achieve bookings, client NPS, and gross margin targets associated with their component.
To facilitate growth, the Product Director will collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and prospects to identify new product capability requirements. They maintain close collaboration with their development teams to ensure the successful creation and introduction of these new capabilities to the market. Furthermore, the Product Director takes charge of testing and implementing these fresh features with clients and actively promotes future growth to a broader audience of Clearwater clients and prospects.
Responsibilities
Prioritize decisions across products with data driven justification
Establish alignment on the product roadmap among multiple Product and Engineering teams.
Team Span: responsible for handling 2–3 scrum teams spanning 12–15 engineers
Efficiently lead the development of cross‑product capabilities. Collaborate closely with key partner clients on product development and testing, working in person in their offices regularly.
Contribute to the formulation of the department's development and training plan.
Advocate for a culture of communication throughout the organization.
Build release‑specific product briefs that articulate the client problem for target personas, value, priority and high‑level approach.
Keep current with latest technology development in data management, competitors and apply those insights to CW product strategy and execution.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in Capital Markets (preferably in Investment Management) that owns all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle in a B2B enterprise SaaS environment. Proven ability to manage roadmaps by prioritizing & collaborating with clients and multiple Product lines is ideal.
Strong knowledge of Investment management industry and Investment Life cycle process.
Prior experience with alternative investments such as Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, CLOs, etc.
Product Management experience bringing Public & Private Assets for total portfolio analysis, including not only underlying exposures/holdings but calculated risk analytics for all assets.
Prior experience working with Engineering teams to deliver Product features in an agile fashion.
Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
Excellent team and relationship building abilities, with both internal and external parties (engineers, business stakeholders, partners, etc.).
Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence via diplomacy and tact.
Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Snowflake.
Ability to work with relational and NoSQL databases.
Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Education Background
Bachelor's / master's degree in finance, computer science, engineering or a related field.
CFA shareholder preferred.
Salary Range $156,000 - $210,800
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job‑related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
