Governance Analyst, Data Domains & Dictionary Seeking a detail-oriented and strategic

Governance Analyst

to support the development and management of our enterprise data governance framework. This role will focus on defining and organizing

data domains , building and maintaining a

centralized data dictionary , and collaborating across business units to ensure consistent data definitions and usage.

Key Responsibilities Domain Structure Development

Define and maintain enterprise-wide

data domain taxonomy .

Collaborate with data stewards and business units to align domain definitions with business processes.

Support metadata tagging and classification within each domain.

Data Dictionary Management

Design and implement a

centralized data dictionary

using governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).

Ensure consistent definitions, formats, and business rules across systems.

Partner with data owners to validate and update dictionary entries.

Governance Operations

Assist in the development of governance policies and standards.

Support data quality initiatives by identifying gaps and inconsistencies.

Participate in governance councils and working groups.

Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.

Provide training and documentation to promote adoption of governance tools and practices.

Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field.

2+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.

Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks (Acryl Data).

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Experience with enterprise data environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

Experience with PASS or other authentication and data systems.

Knowledge of Looker or other BI platforms.

Understanding of data cataloging and lineage tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly contract rate range of $60.00 to $70.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
