Responsibilities
Develop creative and technically precise designs for secure print and digital systems using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Translate creative direction into detailed design files that are ready for manufacturing, ensuring alignment with security, material and production standards.
Collaborate with technical designers, engineers, and security software to define specifications, layouts, and functional design elements.
Partner with jurisdictions and agencies to ensure all design components meet security standards
Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including production‑ready artwork, mockups, color targets, and material specifications.
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, including the ability to prepare complex, multi‑layered print‑ready files.
Strong understanding of design‑to‑production workflows, including color management, substrate compatibility, variable data layers, and manufacturing constraints.
Experience working on regulated or security‑sensitive design projects where precision, compliance, and documentation are essential.
Working knowledge of security‑oriented visual design elements such as microtext, structured line work, fine‑detail patterns, and other anti‑tamper design techniques.
Familiarity with security‑focused design software platforms or digital security systems; ability to learn proprietary tools quickly.
Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional partners such as production engineering, program management, and QA to ensure designs meet technical and regulatory requirements.
Excellent attention to detail, file hygiene, organization, and communication; able to manage multiple complex design projects with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting regulated industries, secure product development, or high‑compliance print environments.
Understanding of secure design principles and how visual elements interact with production constraints and durability requirements.
Ability to produce clear design specifications, layer maps, and production notes for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience developing or refining security‑driven visual features within established design systems or regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with industry standards or specifications related to secure or regulated products.
Jura (Corvina Prime Software) experience is a plus
Located in Northeastern US
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field.
5–7 years of professional design experience, ideally within regulated, security‑sensitive, or technically constrained environments.
Must be willing to travel onsite to Bedford, MA location for a week, once a month.
Must be a sole U.S. citizen (no dual citizenship) due to program security requirements.
Must be able to pass all required background screenings, including criminal history, credit, education verification, and drug testing, and must be able to obtain any program‑specific clearances or credentials.
