Job Description
Provide legal support to the (i) Integrated Logistics Solutions business team as they develop solutions that use Tallgrass infrastructure capabilities in the areas of natural gas transportation, gas marketing, water sourcing, carbon capture and sequestration, power & transmission, and power plant development to serve large electric loads and (ii) the Tallgrass Water business team.
Primary Purpose Provide legal support to the Integrated Logistics Solutions business team as they develop solutions that use Tallgrass infrastructure capabilities in the areas of natural gas transportation, gas marketing, water sourcing, carbon capture and sequestration, power & transmission, and power plant development to serve large electric loads, as well as support the Tallgrass Water business team.
Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate power purchase agreements, tolling arrangements, other forms of power offtake agreements, and interconnection agreements.
Draft, review and negotiate joint development agreements, developer services agreements, and related agreements for the development of data center campuses with co-located generation.
Draft, review and negotiate agreements for the supply of power inputs, including natural gas precedent agreements, NAESBs, and other commercial contracts.
Draft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for fresh water, gathering and disposal agreements.
Provide strategic advice on transaction structure, taking into account state and federal regulatory schemes related to retail and wholesale power sales.
Experience drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements is a plus but not required.
Facilitate and oversee outside counsel.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, internal meetings and meetings with customers, investors, partners, third parties, FERC and/or state commissions as requested.
Perform other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
Qualifications Education
Juris Doctor from an accredited institution.
Experience / Specific Knowledge
Ten (10) years of relevant legal experience.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations
Licensed to practice law in the U.S. and eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar or practice pursuant to the state’s single-client counsel rule, C.R.C.P. 222.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record for travel purposes.

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Must use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel; talk and hear; stand and reach with hands and arms; occasionally walk, climb or balance; lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non‑working hours.
Must clear a drug screen and a complete background check (including credit report for certain positions) following an offer and prior to employment.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position will be $200,000-$250,000/yr.
