The Role A premier investment firm managing a partnership fund is seeking a
Tax & Accounting Manager . Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hybrid role for a technical expert who can act as the firm's internal auditor and quality control officer.
You will not just manage data; you will manage outcomes—overseeing Big Four tax providers, validating complex partnership allocations, and ensuring the accuracy of fund accounting for portfolios with significant international public security exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Oversight:
Manage the relationship with external tax advisors (Big Four). Review and validate tax returns (1065) and K-1s. You must be able to independently rebuild calculations to "sanity-check" external work.
International Complexity:
Handle tax nuances related to public security investments overseas (foreign withholding, tax credits, PFICs).
Fund Accounting:
Review monthly NAV packages, performance returns, and investor statements prepared by fund administrators.
Audit & Ops:
Lead the year-end audit process and manage daily financial operations, including cash reconciliation, expense allocations, and AP.
Advisory:
Serve as the technical resource for tax inquiries regarding the impact of fund activity on HNWI/Family Office and institutional investors.
