The client is looking for an outstanding technical writer for the Foundational Data Services team. As a technical writer, you will support an overhaul of the internal content ecosystem, ensuring that it is built with internal AI search in mind and easily discoverable. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders on the content, establish audits and guardrails to ensure it is up to date, and make sure the content is fully accessible. Successful past delivery of developer‑oriented technical documentation for a programming platform is required. Your documentation will be used by internal and external teams and customers. This position requires precise documentation and clear communication and presentation skills, along with a solid understanding of software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop & deliver documentation for the Foundational Data Services platform
Develop content re‑use and single‑sourcing strategies
Help evaluate and select tools and technologies for the technical publications team
Qualifications
4+ years in a writing or lead writing role
Proven ability to work with developers and write for a developer audience
Experience working with a programming language such as Java, C#, or C++ is essential
Proven experience designing documentation for software APIs
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Passion to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
Experience with XML‑based publishing systems
Some experience with web services and related technologies a plus
Business Group:
PXF FPDS – They provide foundational backbone to the company, allowing products to consume data and help people make changes through employee lifecycle and improve product efficiency.
Reason for the request:
Additional member who understands code and will work with external teams and internal product/technical managers on additional projects and ad‑hoc tasks.
Schedule:
M‑F 9 am–5 pm (40 hrs/week). Onsite (preferably) / Hybrid (2–3 × week).
Daily Tasks:
30% meeting with stakeholders, additional education to speed system
50% make the work done
20% validating the work with the team
