Business Systems Analyst, Clinical – IT
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network with over 70 locations statewide. It includes four medical centers specializing in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular, cancer, and bone and joint services. Information Technology implements, supports and maintains all systems at Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities. The department provides support to users and acts as key liaison between the business community and vendors. It also codes, defines criteria, performs testing and debugging, and maintains programs to meet the informational needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
Provide application support to user departments under general direction of the Manager of Information Systems Department.
Act as key liaison between the clinical community, vendors, and the IS department.
Provide Tier 2 support of applications and translate high-level customer requirements into functional specifications.
Manage changes to specifications and gather, compile, and synthesize information regarding technology processes and systems.
Code, define criteria, perform testing, debugging, document, and maintain programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Care or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
One (1) year of experience in functional analysis, system design and/or business applications.
Preferred: Two (2) years of health care experience and working with clinical users to determine their needs and manage changes to those specifications, including troubleshooting systems issues and modifying applications.
Experience in supporting information systems and analyzing workflow and implementing changes in workflow.
