Position Observable Ambassador

– Operations – Hourly Non‑Exempt – Reports to Nicholas Carver.

Role The Observatory Ambassador engages guests within View Boston and provides a unique, memorable experience for local, United States, and international guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting guests as they enter assigned areas.

Ensuring safety of guests while on tour or within your assigned areas.

Providing high‑level customer service by engaging guests, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a great experience.

Retaining learned knowledge and offering operational answers to all inquiries about Observatory layout, experience locations.

Operating Observatory elevators and providing efficient direction for all attraction guests.

Scanning attraction tickets and directing guests to proper queue.

Following direction and being a team player.

Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to engage guests in a busy, interactive environment.

Presenting information concisely, loud, clear, with a commanding presence.

Practicing safe work habits, following all safety policies, completing company‑wide safety training and any additional job‑specific safety training.

Performing other duties as necessary or required by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities The Observatory Ambassador may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends & ASM Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company.

High level of demonstrated professionalism and customer service.

Ability to memorize historical and technical information.

Multilingual or sign language capabilities a plus.

Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic and outgoing personality with a creative and proactive approach to work.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and work extended hours.

Ability to work non‑traditional hours (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).

Working Conditions Location: On‑site at View Boston (Boston, MA).
