Mission The Teradata Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data solutions using Teradata technologies.
This role involves defining enterprise data architecture strategies, creating data models, and ensuring optimal performance for analytics and reporting platforms.
The architect collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver robust data platforms that support decision-making across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
Develop integration strategies and performance optimization techniques.
Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
Develop reusable Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and validation.
Must Haves
At least 5 years of experience in Teradata solutions and architecture.
Strong background in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) concepts, dimensional modeling, and performance tuning.
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad).
Advanced SQL and experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SAS DI).
Familiarity with Teradata Vantage features like QueryGrid, NOS, and ClearScape Analytics.
Hands-on coding experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
Certifications
Teradata Certified Professional (preferred).
