Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with Interstate Engineering’s goals, focusing on infrastructure scalability, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Oversee the firm’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and high‑performing systems, including servers, networks, cloud services, and software applications.
Lead strategic IT projects, such as enterprise system implementations or digital platform enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity frameworks, including policies, audits, and incident response plans, to protect the firm’s data and systems from threats.
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to enhance digital platforms, ensuring secure and efficient management of the company website, client portals, and marketing tools.
Partner with the Director of Human Resources to oversee HRIS system strategy, ensuring data security, compliance, and seamless integration with HR processes.
Manage the IT budget, allocating resources strategically and presenting budget plans to executive leadership, ensuring cost‑effective technology investments.
Foster partnerships with technology vendors and industry organizations to stay ahead of trends, implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth, while aligning team efforts with the firm’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate with the Community Engagement Specialist to support technology needs for community initiatives, such as providing IT infrastructure for virtual engagement platforms or data analytics for community feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
8–10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Expert proficiency in IT strategy, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
Extensive knowledge of IT governance, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and industry best practices.
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead an IT department, manage complex projects, and build stakeholder relationships.
Experience in a professional services or engineering firm, supporting multidisciplinary teams and client‑focused operations.
