Swoon Staffing is supporting an
AI Linguist
opportunity for a leading global technology company. This role focuses on AI quality, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop data pipelines supporting international markets and large-scale AI products.
This is an execution-focused role centered on bringing
existing AI data pipelines into production . You will work with real data, adapt and scale annotation and evaluation guidelines, identify patterns in multilingual datasets, and collaborate closely with native-language linguists and external vendors. Nothing is built from scratch and there is no model development or engineering ownership.
What You’ll Do
Support AI quality, evaluation, and human judgment workflows for production AI systems
Analyze input and output data to identify patterns, quality issues, and improvement opportunities
Adapt and scale annotation and evaluation guidelines to support large-scale data pipelines
Partner with native-language linguists (Spanish, Portuguese, German) to validate multilingual data
Coordinate with vendors to bring existing pipelines to production at scale
Contribute to data augmentation efforts and process optimization
Create clear documentation and guidelines to support consistent execution
Must-Have Qualifications
2+ years of relevant industry experience in linguistics, NLP, or AI data workflows
Hands‑on experience with large-scale human judgment, annotation, or evaluation pipelines
Proven experience adapting guidelines to scale data pipelines into production
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working with multilingual data (language fluency not required)
Experience using Python or another scripting language for data inspection or validation
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, or a related field
Nice-to-Have
MS or PhD in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, or a related field
Experience with data augmentation or production AI systemsBackground as a Computational Linguist or Language Engineer
Familiarity with vendor‑managed annotation workflows
