Job Title: Technical Architect (Travel Domain)

Location: Dallas, TX Key Responsibilities

Lead the modernization of core travel systems by bridging legacy mainframe environments with modern cloud-native architectures. Drive the technical architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience across platforms. Develop and maintain technical architecture blueprints integrating TPF systems with GCP-based services. Define modernization strategies for legacy TPF applications to cloud-native or hybrid models. Lead architectural governance and ensure alignment with business and technology goals. Lead efforts to modernize identity infrastructure, including re-platforming between cloud-native solutions. Develop a strategic roadmap based on business demand, technical capabilities and security framework. Proactively identify and mitigate identity-related risks, focusing on privileged access management and identity lifecycle controls. Partner with security architects and peers to implement best practice initiatives within the Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. Define and enforce governance policies, including RBAC, conditional access, and cost management. Align cloud architecture standards across platforms and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure project alignment with business goals. Provide strategic guidance on complex identity requirements and integrated technology solutions. Documentation & Quality Assurance: Oversee solution quality, document implementations, and ensure delivery excellence through thorough troubleshooting and incident resolution. Design APIs and microservices to expose TPF functionality to modern platforms. Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to implement scalable cloud solutions on GCP. Evaluate and recommend tools for TPF-to-cloud integration, data migration, and service orchestration. Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Present architectural decisions and trade-offs to senior leadership and technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in technical architecture, including 5+ years with TPF systems. Proven experience designing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep understanding of mainframe systems, high-throughput transaction processing, and real-time systems. Experience with API design, microservices, and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). Preferred Skills & Certifications

GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, service mesh, and observability tools. Familiarity with airline or travel industry systems is a strong plus.
